Re: The perils of giving advice

In my line of work I am exceptional (tooting my own horn AND not). I blame it on 1 working with many other people to learn from 2 it came natural to me. I would have quit and went back to basic labor...

Re: Double Deeps or Deep and Medium

[QUOTE=JustinS;1700841]I switched to all mediums for pure simplicity of everything interchangeable. 2-3 mediums for wintering here in OK has been great, so far no problems.

    Medium nucs seem...

Sticky: Re: GregV's Alternative way to keep (have?) bees.

I seen this on mother earth news and thought it neat. Yet a lot of work and price. But I think 1 hive made/designed like this would resemble more of a tree and bee nice to have at the house....

    Re: Suggestions

I would take the tank and put it my woods and leave it. That being said torch bad idea for bee's unless your very experienced. As mentioned Zip disk would work better. I wouldn't worry about the...

I see I created quite the misunderstanding.

I was thinking 1 (just my opinion) that the overwintered feral colonies are probably NOT weaker and in a treatment free hive environment they are...

    Sticky: Re: Treatment-Free Bungling 2018 - ?

I have a thought on the feral colonies and their swarms. If 1 good feral colony has a good start then cast a swarm, next both do well and cast another swarm making the original colony and the swarm...

I believe in God and do not believe in almost all conspiracy theories. I agree with the fact some theories are not far from the truth but most unlikely. There was an earlier post that I really wanted...

Re: Can I migrate this existing hive?

I would suggest you look up the beekeeping 101 forum and study, get some beginner books and read this year. Do not try uneducated then fail. Then you won't like it. Not saying you will fail but if...

Re: where do I turn in my beehive tool?

  22. Re: Thoughts on strategic places to place swarm traps

  23. Re: Thoughts on strategic places to place swarm traps

If your using the land for hunting I'd go with in the deer stands as an easy start. You know where they are and they are elevated and I'm guessing you can get a vehicle to them.

    If not that is...
