    What honey is this?

    The honey on the left looks like a sliced lemon and has already crystallized, whereas honey on the right has more tea like color and is still liquid. Any ideas?

    Goldenrod Honey

    I see bees bringing plenty of yellow goldenrod pollen and I can smell that nectar as well.

    How soon if any I will be able to collect that goldenrod honey?

    Thanks, I didnt know that. I thought that mites came out during broodless period and then when queen started to rear brood again, mites when back to honey comb cells under cappings.

    Formic Pro Treatment

    After one week of 2 strip Formic Pro treatment my mite count went from 23 per sample to 15 per sample (300 bees).

    Still kind of low. Maybe I should consider additional treatment.

    inside water feeder

    I am not sure if anyone else is experiencing it, but in my case I have hives on 10 frames full and barely any honey. Is this year that bad or is there still time to make up for it?

    I have placed queen excluder over my brood chamber and now I wonder if the bees will make their way up when collecting honey?

    Maybe I should move some capped brood frames up top over the excluder?
