    Re: Bees vs. the Scrunchie

I have seen it with cell phone cases. Guy was photographing the hive, and shows a picture after the fact, where they had gone crazy on the black cell phone case and it was so covered in stingers you...
  3. Re: Oxalic acid is harmless - I don't bother removing honey supers any longer.

When bees store honey or sugar syrup in the brood nest, don't they, at other times move it up into supers to make room to lay? Not trying to stir anything, just thought I had read/heard this at one...
  4. Re: It pays to be 'out' to your friends, or at least neighbors whose names you don't

Oh, I am getting some. I have spoken with a few local and some a little farther away in state. Just a matter of availability and moneys. Probably have them by April. Unless there are swarms on...
  5. Re: Seeking Info on Different Increase Stratagies

I will be following you on this research path. Couple things come to mind. It seems to me that when you buy a package, you are really just buying a queen. If you already have active colonies, you can...
  6. Re: Oxalic acid is harmless - I don't bother removing honey supers any longer.

Wow, I so remember my parents hosting the Amway meetings and putting "other" detergents in Styrofoam cups and seeing them melt. And writing on the rug with marker and cleaning it with blue stuff, and...

  9. Re: It pays to be 'out' to your friends, or at least neighbors whose names you don't

I debated trying to keep this going... I thought better of it, considering that it may be obscure references for many. :) Oldschool Fan though! I can still Rod's voice in my head from time to time.

I have had both kidney stones and a heart attack. If I had to do one of them again I would choose the heart attack.
  11. Re: It pays to be 'out' to your friends, or at least neighbors whose names you don't

It's been around since 1965 and there is even an association for it. Funny thing I hadn't heard of it until last year, and never heard of anyone playing it until they said something about it... and...
  12. Re: It pays to be 'out' to your friends, or at least neighbors whose names you don't

That wood cut print was a birthday gift from my daughter that she got from an Etsy artist. I like the quote, but never found out if it was just something he said or it was part of a poem or book. But...

Am I? Last think I ever remember was Thanatos <sp> and that was like grade or middle school a million years ago
  14. Re: It pays to be 'out' to your friends, or at least neighbors whose names you don't

Some day I will have honey again and will make sure to share some. I think what they want is us to play Pickle Ball with us.
  15. Re: It pays to be 'out' to your friends, or at least neighbors whose names you don't

He just happened to have them. I haven't spoken to him yet but I am sure they just happened to have them. They both have Kelley's sticker in them. They are both at around the 1973 printing.

Re: vape. I beg to differ if we are using the wand then it is sublimation. But aren't all the everclear, glycerine, mineral oil di water and fog juice people actually vaping them? Or maybe they are...

  18. It pays to be 'out' to your friends, or at least neighbors whose names you don't know

Just now, my wife yells up the steps and says there's a present for me. Apparently, my neighbor, whose name I haven't a clue (we're new here and only lived here 6-1/2 years so we don't know both our...
