    If I may,
I have made several"killer swarm traps" out of pressed paper planter containers and one Ice chest. The problem with those odd traps is when you get a swarm, it is a mess to open them and...

Thank you for the research results. The articles are very interesting. The ascorbic acid is vitamin E, correct. The articles also offer some really high praise for the use of vitamin C. The data...

Re: Fell Down With Full Box of Bees!

    If I may,

I am an "old fat man" and I need a crutch to walk, just a little bit. My solutions are: lift honey frames into a carrying box that holds 3 frames. They get put into a box on the...
  6. Re: Leave drone comb in foundationless super frames?

I sometimes put a medium frame in the box as the bees will sometimes (if yhey choose) make worker or honey cells in the upper frame and drone cells underneath the bottom bar. I like lots of drones...

Re: 2 frame or 5 frame nuc?

I tried the split box method last year and observed that if it is not exactly level, that one side does not drain after a storm. I appeared to me that the bees do a better job of keeping their floor...

    Re: Fogger...

    Friend,

I made no modifications to the fogger. I use reduced entrances, about 4 inches x 3/4 inches and I do not block the entrance to treat. I am an old fat man and I walk with crutches. ...

  16. Re: Can I transfer 2x cups with eggs + bees into a mating nuc?

    CuttingEdge,

I used to prepare the "Chinese grafting tool" so the tongue would easily bend under the larva. I have used the JZBZ tool and several I created myself. I am getting older now and my...
  17. Re: Can I transfer 2x cups with eggs + bees into a mating nuc?

If I may add my view. during the last couple of years, I have lost the ability to graft successfully. I have mangled lots of one and two-day-old larva. I switched to the "Nocot System" and find...
