    I agree, honey crystalizes dependant on what they have been foraging on , and also the two different sugars effecting them, the one that smells I would guess is fermenting as said too much un capped...

    yes they do look like them from throne's but if you look at previous pics I have poured wax only into cell and not the bar on top giving single cells

    here in the Uk I did one two years ago not very nice job, first I would estimate how many frames you will want and get everything ready for next spring, we rubber banded the coomb into the frames...

    think about putting in mains power for your oxalic treatment and that saves you lugging a battery or buying the more expensive foggers also you will have main electricity for any jobs around that...

    beepro, that is something I have to think out, what I am thinking is like a frame of coomb laid on top of frames like you do when you cut out cells between rows on the frame to emulate hanging cells...

    I got fed up with dipping and twisting off single cups and not all of them came out even,so made a mould to cast one bar at a time, I am doing it everytime I cast some wax I just fill my mould ready...

    mould release agent for wax you can use water and milk about 50/50 or slightly more milk is fine

    I agree this is what we use here in uk save a lot of hassle just cut in chunks and slap on hive
    ps we cut into two pound slices from 25lb block that does six hives here
