    We now use pro sweet and are happy with it. purchase by the tote and they will store and cap it. We have never used HFCS, we got tired of mixing sugar.2/1. Not sure the cost of Pro sweet is worth...

    We do OTS splits the first of July in 5a zone. Feed them all the 2 to 1 syrup or prosweet they wanted. The small ones filled single deeps to 95/100 lbs. by fall and wintered just fine. (Carniolans)...

    WE used the OTS method last year it worked very well for us. Mel Disselkoen from MI. has a very informative book with a simple method.

    Plastic for sure,we use black for brood and yellow for supers all deeps with no problems. Must use glue when nailing or stapling the frames together.
