    here's this colony a few weeks later ,once i added another couple supers the bearding went way down.yes that is 9 med. 8 frames on the first pic and 11 on the 2nd.Space beneath the slats?

    That's why i didn't cut the plug off,i'm treating 4 meds.,so the plug depth is just right for the amount of OA needed ,but thanks for the input.

    Johno,i hear you,but even if i just lightly tap the cap when dumping the OA it will block the outlet,even with the red i will have to pull the caps back out a little because of them sitting to far...

    I am with Ray and sakhoney,I would do what Ray advises but as sak says be careful of adding to much space to early here in the south because of the hive beetles.Try to "keep em crowded" works for me.

    after extracting i put my wet supers back on for them to clean.Just place the wet ones over an inner cover and a empty super come back in a couple days and they will be clean and ready for winter...
