    North south swap

    would anyone in the south be willing to swap. Ill hold yours in the summer you hold mine in the winter? I would be under 50 hives. but could summer as many as needed.

    Yep. I feel bad for that crew. I know they depend on the honey a bit more than most. I think this year will be a making bees year not making honey.

    I live near allot of treatment free or treatment limited amish. I assure you they had a very hard winter! As for me I think we are looking great. Possibly lost one or two hives out of 16.

    I would have on the second try knocked all the bees to the ground near the hive by tapping the frames. Them placed the cage. This will make them feel a change and get them into a more accepting mood...

    ok so a big question

    I just bought a overwinterd nuc from a big time local bee guy.

    I got it home it had very little brood, and was a 4 frame nuc for $165.

    That seem crappy?

    what would happen if you started a nuc in a deep. Then put a excluder on it and another queen above in another deep.

    I have two deeps of honey from deadouts. What should I do with it?
