    I have a Brushy Mountain ventilated and an Ultrabreeze:


    The Brushy Mountain is hands down my favorite and my wife or I haven't been stung in 3+ years using them. Too bad they closed their doors...

    I leave mine out and make sure the boxes and frames are exposed to sunlight: The moths leave them alone. Once the cold is here to stay, I just stack and mouse proof them but they still stay outside.

    I have 5 that are 6 or 7 years old and have been blooming for the past 3 years. The bees visit them all and they've all set seeds. That being said, only two of them have dozens of Evodia seedlings...

    I thought about it and went with readily available 8 frame boxes so I can fit a 2 frame feeder and still have 6 frames.

    Do queens secrete wax?
    I checked on one of my newly mated queens is and she is laying beautifully. When I found her I thought she was injured but it turned out she has a couple of wax flakes stuck...

    If the bees can't get between the top bar and the lid how are they sealing the mason jar lid and getting the feed? I suppose they can get to it from between a frame or two?
