    Yes, I cover the screen bottom with thin plywood, if not I end up with a cluster on the screen bottom. Once they are established I remove the plywood

    Swarm trap transfer to a hive

    Caught this swarm last week, transferred to a hive today.

    Once I put them in a hive I put her in jail, queen excluder on the bottom along with some drawn comb, most cases within 3 days I will see pollen going in. After a week or so, pull the queen excluder.
