    They been standing for 2 years now. We have had several high wind storms that up rooted trees. Hives never moved.

    I prefer up off the ground. No stooping over to work the hive. Put down some plastic and mulch then sit the hives on treated 4x4.

    I have had good luck freezing the frames, then placing them in large Tupperware bins. Seal them tight and store in a shed.

    It would be easier to tell if I could see them in person. If your sure there are no eggs, I would guess they are trying to replace their Queen.
    I would let it play out.

    I think with 3/4 hose it should work pretty well. HOWEVER, I havent tried it yet so I cant say for sure.
    IF it dont work well, I have 12v. Plug in on the front of the tractor. I'll hook up a 12v....
