    The BB is still hanging on here at a higher elevation in upstate SC. You're right after that it's very little until golden rod. That's what I get also 2 medium supers and leave one on thru dearth.

    Tulip poplar are just starting. Girls bringing in cream color pollen and I smell nectar!

    Thia is very similar to reversing boxes which is done in spring, to try and fool the bees. This requires the extra step of putting the supers back on top after a couple days.

    upstate SC flow?

    I just added a super to my strongest hive. They were overflowing and bringing in lots of pollen and nectar from some source.

    Anybody else in SC/ NC seeing this?

    I've seen bearding, but this looks different. This is on a double NUC with the other side empty frames.
    Can you advise? is this bearding? 85 degrees and 63% humidity.

    Sorry for the loss Thanks for the post with Pics. That helps all of us learn!
    The open queen cells at bottom of frame show that the hive swarmed. New queen must have not survived.

    St. Patricks day swarm caught today ( my hive) 3-4 lb.
    It's 28 F degrees in morning and they still swarmed!
