    how long did it take for the hives to come right? Did you isolate the hives? Were there other hives in the same yard? Did they show signs of the virus also?

    i store my frames with moth crystals in a feeding shim in the middle of the stack. Boxes are taped together and top and bottom of the stack are covered with black plastic bags.
    Have had no wax moth...

    Looking at the next 10-14 days on weather.com seems like pretty typical late march kind of deal.

    i move full sized hives on my trailer every year and just ratchet strap them in both directions. Never had an issue yet.

    my girls were packing it in on Monday when it was in the 60s in Skaneateles. I also havent seen anything even budding out where im at yet. They are finding it in bunches somewhere

    All food for thought. I think Mike is right. The ages of the queens is the main difference.
    Few benefits being smaller footprint for the same number of colonies and the ease of moving into 10 F...
