    I bought the elc. 4 to 8 frames from eBay 4 years ago. i run from 50 to 100 hives, never had a problem with it, I use food grade grease on the bottom of the basket.

    The hand full of bees that were there most likely were out of the hive when you moved it.

    I also drill a 1 1/8" hold in the supper box for ventilation or entry for the bees. The 1/8 crack is harder for the girls to bees guard, takes to many bees..

    Good thing on both points;;drill a 1 1/8 th hold in top box, waddled it out a little, so a Pepsi bottle top will fit if needed, you also need a vent hole. The firt thing to do is take the queen...

    Depins on what kind of nuc box they are in..I would leave them in the nuc out of the weather, rain, snow and wind,,in a garage maybe. If they have food they will be ok until the weather gets...

    tech:::100%:thumbsup: If you have capped queen cells, your queen may have already swarmed, they usaly swarm right before or the day the first cell is capped.. That is what my girls do....
