    Re: HONEY SUPERS

I just use a fume board and Bee Quick as if I was removing the bees from a super prior to extracting the honey. Wait about 5 minutes and most if not all bees will have left the super and then I just...

    Re: Information on Pierco

Yes google can be your friend and I have found and looked at there site, but.

I should have been more specific in my original question. Has anyone used Pierco and can offer reviews of their...

    Re: Information on Pierco

You might think so but since I tried that first and did not receive the information thus I asked the question!

    Information on Pierco

Had an ad popup while viewing another site for equipment from the Pierco Bee Company. Anyone have any information on this company?
    Thanks.
  8. Re: Possible recommended OA vaporizer dosage changes

No data that you can provide to prove that statement. I use the ProVap100 and it works great but nothing to prove that it kills more mites than the "wand(s)".
  9. Re: Simple Harmony Farms Uncapper product Review

Thanks e-spice. Cost was my draw back but time and ease of use means a lot to me.
  10. Re: Simple Harmony Farms Uncapper product Review

Thanks for your update. I sure like what I have seen about this product. Likely by the time you use yours I will also be extracting our honey.
  11. Simple Harmony Farms Uncapper product Review

I have watched a couple of people using this uncapper on youtube but would welcome any reviews from members here who have information on how this product performs.

    Thanks.

    Re: Driving with bees

    BLUE LIGHTS and NUCS

My friend Pate, my Dad, and I are all beekeepers. Our bees are housed in traditional Langstroth hives.* These are the boxy kind of hives you most often see and are efficient...

    Re: Alabama

First "known" swarm in our area was in Dothan from member of our bee club hives which he caught on Wednesday March 4, 2020. Second was yesterday by a friend in Newville area also caught and from one...

    Re: Honey extractor choices

It is radial. Just have to spin the frames once and done. Sure it is not a Dadant or Mann Lake but it works great and cost so much less. Likely you do get what you pay for but this Vivo has been a...

    Re: Honey extractor choices

Posted this over a year ago and have since used it another season. Very please with it. As a side note last year (June 2019) my friend and mentor, who has 80+ hives and a 40 frame extractor, well...

    Re: Easy Vap

The ProVap 110 is only $485.00 not $595.00. Still more than the Easy Vap but 110 dollars less than you stated.

    Re: Power For A Vaporizer

Why did the hives die? Did your queens in all 5 hives die, how long after using the "wood bleach" or product from Amazon till you knew the hives have died?
  19. Re: funny story, really short on facts but high on speculation

Yes, lots of speculation. Would like to see the facts as to how many "log homes" he has made and how many are being used. Also seems to be a lot of work when there are so many other homes you could...
  20. Re: Advice on finding properties to place beehives?

Never show up with empty hands. An offer of a bottle of honey or something made with your honey will open a lot of doors. Also have a few facts written down, just a few, not pages of information...
  21. Re: Advice on finding properties to place beehives?

It is never to early though often if you get an okay and then want to wait till later to move your bees the land owner might change their mind. Have found it better to be able to move quickly.

    Re: Moving bees across country

Never seen any bees being moved in December or January, though. Maybe they do but I have never known of it. Think with just 3 hives I would not fool with moving them and just start over once you...

    Re: Best Feeder (top, 8F)

Just buy the Mann Lake eight frame top feeder. Have over a dozen and have used for years, easy to fill, no bees drown, no robbing. Might seem costly but you get a great product that will last and...
  25. Re: OA vaporization is probably safe with honey supers - here's my calculations

Possibly a higher concentration, key word possibly as so far no one has shown what the amounts before, after treatment, in the honey.
