Saw that also. Good point. I hope you have strong enough hives to survive winter. Please let us know in the spring. They would not survive my climate.

Re: I need to move my hives. When is best?

Get a friend and move them at dusk. Screen them in strap them together and have a friend help you move them.

Get one of these to help https://www.mannlakeltd.com/hive-carrier
  3. Re: new beehive designed to stop bees from dying over winter, and to have 24/7 monito

Boy do I agree with you. These people are trying to take advantage of the worry about keeping bee's alive. I think they are just as bad as the scam artists that target my 80 year old dad. Profiting...

  7. Re: My first two hives of 10,000 have been ordered :)

Wow a blast from the past. I have a feeling that his plan was ultimately flawed. There was no way to get there from here. :)
  8. Re: Advice on finding properties to place beehives?

It is a good idea to put empty boxes to see who starts complaining before the bees even come.
  9. Re: new beehive designed to stop bees from dying over winter, and to have 24/7 monito

There is a fine line between genius and madness. Good luck with your plans if you are able to pull it off then you can write the book.

    Re: Snow Plow for Swinger

After a ton of research and the snow melting for the year. I think I will look for a used plow for my pickup. Might be fun to use it around town also. Forklift might be too limiting.

Re: Double Deeps or Deep and Medium

What ever you decide do all mediums or all deeps. Mixing is a pain when you need to move them around moving a frame from an upper box to a lower or visa versa. I run all deeps even supers all deeps.
