    i have 18 of these MP style nucs which overwintered. Im shocked at how frugal they are with their stores. Some of these little hives still have 5-6 frames of capped honey in there!

    Looked today again. Some hives are getting pretty light. Had to swap some honey frames around.
    They are all bringing in nectar and pollen though so should be ok .

    how long did it take for the hives to come right? Did you isolate the hives? Were there other hives in the same yard? Did they show signs of the virus also?

    i store my frames with moth crystals in a feeding shim in the middle of the stack. Boxes are taped together and top and bottom of the stack are covered with black plastic bags.
    Have had no wax moth...

    yup freaking cold here too.
    Looking at the next 10-14 days on weather.com seems like pretty typical late march kind of deal.

    i move full sized hives on my trailer every year and just ratchet strap them in both directions. Never had an issue yet.
