Re: A sign of the times

I think that you missed my point. Regardless of which side you are on....if you believe that the other side are a bunch of drooling morons....then you are likely the drooling moron.
    The total...

Re: A sign of the times

Is there anyone posting their political opinions here who believes that the half of the electorate in this country who voted for the opposing candidate are universally drooling idiots?
    Doesn’t...

Re: A sign of the times

Does anyone posting their political opinions here believe that the expression of those opinions will change a single opposing opinion?
Trust me….not a soul has been swayed. This is futile.

    Re: Shelter in place...unintended consequences

Two weeks ago when I was in SAM'S buying sugar there was no bottled water. One of the workers told me that when a pallet arrived they would take it to the floor and it would be mobbed and emptied in...

    Re: Ceracell hive top feeders

One of my biggest complaints about the Mann Lake feeder is that has an open cavity underneath. If I want to use it to supplement a new hive at the same time there is a nectar flow on, the bees will...

    Re: Ceracell hive top feeders

I have several of these and have been happy with them.
The main issue is that the center cap can be removed if you want to use them for dry feed. I glued them on using aquarium caulk as I would...

    Re: Shelter in place...unintended consequences

I wonder if they can set up a tablet in the room and have family 'visit' via skype or facetime or something similar.
I suppose it would take a boatload of tablets and clinical staff time getting it...
  12. Re: Let's just be honest: This spring is historically early.

I don’t keep a diary or historical notes but….I left a deep super full of honey on most of my hives last fall. Many are on the cusp of starvation today. I don’t know if it is an early spring…I don’t...

    Re: Shelter in place...unintended consequences

And...as I pointed out earlier a conception with a concurrent/soon thereafter Corona infection adds all sorts of ugly potential that a blizzard is less likely to.

    Re: Shelter in place...unintended consequences

Do you understand past vs present tense in the English language?
It’s ok. I’ll help you out.

    Re: Shelter in place...unintended consequences

    Even more concerning.
After watching some of the shenanigans on Florida beaches and some young peoples’ lack of concern, I have to wonder what might result from a near simultaneous conception/Corona...

    Shelter in place...unintended consequences

    Unintended consequences.
There is conflicting information about some of the NYC power outages but it has been suggested that there was a measurable bonus nine months later. Of course, these events...

Re: A sign of the times

Nooooo! That was a painful series of pricks with a needle. It then got nicely inflamed and left scar tissue. I remember that clearly although it happened sixty years ago.

Re: A sign of the times

No air guns when I got my polio shot. Actually…reusable syringes. Of course I wasn’t old enough to decide whether or not to get the shot. The whole idea of a vaccination at that time was pretty new....

Re: A sign of the times

This is a hopeful sign. Even panicked people have to know a limit….right? Sooner or later rational thinking will prevail….or so I’d like to think.
    We shall see.
My next fear is an exit strategy....

Re: A sign of the times

I didn't take it as a political statement. Yet...someone always seems compelled to insert their political opinion into otherwise civil discussions. Also...a sign of the times.

Re: Weak Hive Coming out of Winter

I tend to take a more draconian view of these things. If a colony appears noticeably weaker than its neighbors and I don’t have an explanation for the reason…..the last thing I’ll do is take...

Re: A sign of the times

I’m not really advocating anything. Certainly not a hands off approach. If we use northern Italy as an example of hands off…it has been a healthcare disaster. The hospitals have been overrun....
