    We winter 3 medium stacks for comb honey production.
    In fall, the bees fill the bottom combs full of late season pollen.
    As brood rearing decreases in winter, the bees have no real use for pollen....

    Metal, lasts years beyond wood bound.
    Boil them in a fifty gallon drum that we cut in half.
    Could never understand why folks use plastic.
    How do you clean them? Maybe just buy new each year.

    Crimp wire no hook in grooved frames, is what we've used for years.
    Two wax tube fasteners in a crock pot speeds the process up.
    Exchange after each frame, keeps the wax hot.
