    Re: Possible computer virus threat

I had almost the same thing happen on a Win 7 laptop, you will have to remove it in several steps. Then I would keep Malwarebytes and run it once a month at least, also consider adblock plus.

Buy some "Mosquito Dunks" and you wont have to fool with fish. local feed store, Walmart, Lowe's, Home Depot or Amazon.

Re: OA VAP 110.04 Oxalic Acid Vaporizer

I'll also give my feedback after 1st use.

I should have timed the use , but I was in "1st use" mode so took my time. Using the 4 supplied caps, I would guess it was at least 3 times faster than...

    Re: Hive swarmed

This is like a book that is missing the last chapter.

Not knowing the queen status (queen cells, virgin, missing queen and no viable eggs) Could be several possibilities. My hunch would be swarm...

Re: Installing Nuc in Horizontal Langstroth

I use hardwood dowels from amazon and they work perfect, pack of 100 and all str8 as an arrow. They also slide thru the pre-drilled holes in the end bars just a tad snug, no glue needed.

    I take a...

    Re: Ants emptied one box

For the next hive on that stand, might try a couple of dog/cat flea collars around the bottom of the pole a few inches apart, works on my small fruit trees when crawlybugs get bad.

    Re: suspicious looking frame

    Re: suspicious looking frame

Looks like plain ole capped honey to me. Looks like that in my brood frames, lighter on super foundation.
  23. Re: not prepared / first cut-out, what can increase my chances?

I'm with Elmer on changing the comb orientation, I'd pull the frame and use wood glue and the rubber bands to set them correct, queen may not want to lay in cells like that. May do two on one frame,...

Re: Cover Crops and how close to hive???

I read a journal last summer on this, don't recall where tho, Micheal may know? Any way, they said bees don't forage en masse within so many yards of a hive, as they don't have a "dance" for such...
  25. Re: Ragweed: Is it or is it not a good resource for bees?

Have tons of the western ragweed up here, never seen a bee on it, but it wouldn't surprise me if they use it when needed. It is in the sunflower family and we have a a lot of that here as well. I...
