join the Collin County Beekeepers Association. They meet the second Monday of each month. It's a drive, they meet at the Heard Nature Preserve in McKinney (right off 121, just past Hwy 75. They have a beginner's class every week. Big club, 100-150 people show up at every meeting.
There is a small club in Burleson area, never been but I think they have 10-15 members and there is Trinity Valley Beekeepers, used to meet in Irving but have now moved way East to Mequite. Clubs are a good way to connect with other beekeepers, get info and also share equipment.
