Moldy Comb into a Solar Wax Melter / Advisable or not?

Hi All
So I am making a large Solar Wax melter. I noticed that in one 5-gallon pale the comb is loaded with mold. Is it something that in melting will stay behind with the slum gum or will it contaminate the wax ? Definately will throw it out if it will contaminate the beautiful golden wax I expect to yield. I can filter through either a paper towel and/or really fine metal mesh. Please advise.
Thanks,

Don't worry too much about the mold or mildew. It will stay behind in the slum gum. I melt down wax all the time the old school way in a pot on the stove, used moldy nasty wax several times with no adverse effects on the wax.

Use the paper towel for your filter material. Cheap, releases wax good, and keeps the gunk out of the wax.
