Granted, I do believe there was a full drone comb frame in there last I looked. Today it was about half hatched, but there are drones everywhere in that hive. I have a feeling they are sucking down the nectar. Why won't the hive kick them out? It's past time.
There was also a lot of good brood pattern, frames of brood. Not a lot of honey/nectar, which has been about par for me this summer in all the hives. I'm going to put the robber screens on and keep syrup on all of them even tho the goldenrod should be ratcheting up about now.
But what does it mean when your hive is full of drones so late in the season?
