Default Trying Apivar this season. Any pros and cons?

Looking for a different treatment this season. Planing on using up my MqS and switching to Apivar straps on hives w/O Honey supers.. Any pros and cons? Is there a decent shelf life? Mannlake seems to be the best place to get them with the free shipping

I used apivar last fall and both hives survived. Just make sure you use it early enough that at the end of treatment it's warm enough to go in and take out the strips. It's a 40-50 day treatment period.

A commercial guy with 10,000 hives recommended apivar to me last fall. He had treated 2000 hives with it in the summer as a test noted that by late September they were significantly healthier and stronger than his other hives. His average losses on the total operation were around 5%.
