    Default Hello from Melbourne Florida

Greetings bee enthusiasts, my name is Drake or more commonly known as ddarkus in the video game worlds i mostly sink my time into. However one of my friends spiked my interest into perhaps doing something else and after a encounter with a bee i found them interesting and wanted to learn more about them before i decide if i want to start beekeeping. Though if you live in Melbourne Florida and wouldn't mind showing someone around your hives and perhaps showing them thee ropes, Id greatly appreciate that.

i will say i have never researched something for so long. Though from the reading i am doing right now ...i may have developed a ignorant fear.
When repleacing the queen wouldnt the hive attack to protect that queen? or ... kill the new queen?

Welcome, they are not overly protective of the queen, more the honey, during the nector flow you can do just about anything to the hive and they don't mind. during a darth ( no nector ) they can be very defensive. you can typically pick the queen right off the frame and they dont get worked up.
I'm not tense, Just terribly, terribly alert!
