Just because the authorities choose to relabel CCD colonies as "deadouts" and "ordinary winter losses" doesn't mean that it has gone away!

The pictures are very distinct: tiny clusters of dead bees, often a lonesome queen, some dead brood, and usually plenty of food left in the hive, most bees have disappeared, sometimes small heaps of dead bees can be found outside the hive.
