Default First Swarm of the season

Got my first call to come get a swarm . The lady said it was big but you know when other people judge things you just have to see for your self. The lady was right I weighed the swarm when we got home and it weighed 5 pounds and was the size of a basket ball. It almost filled a ten framed deep. Saw the queen before we closed up the hive she was just beautiful a nice burnt orange color very easy to spot . I can't wait to see how she does this year during the flow. I hope that the size of the swarm is an indicator of the size of brood nest she keeps.

That's great news! This is the first swarm I've read about in WA. Here's hoping that it's a great season.
