    Question Mite Treatment

Has anyone tried the Honeybee Healthcare mite treatment from Pigeon Mountain? What is your opinion of its effectiveness?

I'm guessing this is what he is asking about, essential oils

I don't use this product but I DO use essential oils. I don't consider them a stand-alone mite treatment, however. Evidence of their effectivity as a drench just isn't there. I consider them a good tonic when added to syrup--an aid to hive buildup--that I use in the spring and fall. I test for mites regularly all summer and--only if needed--use OA in the late fall. OA is an effective mite treatment. Fortunately my counts stayed so low as to be nonexistent last year, so I didn't need to treat.

Sorry but I looked on their site to see ingredients but could not find a listing for the product. Sounds like a formic acid product but without reading it.... Sorry not to be any help.
