    Default Bee Identificatin

Can anyone tell from the attached picture what type (Italian, etc.) my bees are? I'm new and don't know if this is even possible, but figured I'd ask. The photo shows the queen and bees around her.

They look like Apis mellifera, subspecies is problematic to determine by appearance, since coloration is easily changed through hybridization.

Cordovan Koehnen.jpgThat yellow queen looks like a Cordovan Italian. The workers Italian or Hybrid.
