I will say this. The bees have been good for us. At these honey prices and high pollination rates you dont have to be a rocket scientist to make a very nice living running bees.

I also worked for Warren last year. Due to personal scheduling conflicts I can't go back this summer, but that has been a tough decision.

    My perspective is:

Warren's a great guy and boss.

North Dakota is beautiful in the summer.

The work is hard, but rewarding and it offers a unique view into an aspect of commercial beekeeping which most people never get to see.

    The experience is priceless.

    Do it.

    Matt

I understand the housings free but how about wages or food? How long is the season? Can I guy come up with his family? Are there hotels close by?

We had friends take their bees up there last year And stayed and worked with some one and it seemed to work out OK for them.

Sounds like a neat life xperience.

Thanks for your interest. Housing is furnished. Last season we started the wages at $13./hr. We dont provide food as I feel you need to eat no matter where you are. The houses have a full kitchen with stove fridge microwave oven and washer & dryer. The honey run is for six weeks starting about Aug 15 give or take a day or two. Coming with a family would be difficult as you share the house with other workers. You have your own bed room. Other housing in our area is next to impossible to get. If you have more questions feel free to ask. Thanks Warren

You just have to know how to use a Bloomfield jack and bailing wire. To keep production up.
