    Default Nosema

I had a hive to die out to what I now think was Nosema. Can I still use hive to install some new package bees or do I need to do something to it first?

Why do you think it was Nosema? Randy Oliver has a ton of information on Nosema, mostly N.Ceranae (N.apis is the one that is associated with dysentery). Here is another brief write-up about cleanup, by Rustly Burlew, that more directly answers your question. In short, she advises that you get lab confirmation first because if you really have spore infected equipment, cleanup isn't easy. Aside from things like radiation, high heat is needed .... torching your boxes, for example.

How early can you start treating with fumagilin-b? It's cold, lots of snow on the ground.
