    Default Hello from Idaho!!

    Hi all!!

New beekeepers here(my husband and I) from SE Idaho. We got our first hive last spring. It was doing very well and we finally were able to open it up this winter to take a peek. All the bees were dead We had a very cold winter with sub zero temps for weeks on end. Hopefully we will do better this spring as we are getting 2 packages. BTW this is a great resource for bees

    Thanks!!

    Amy

Welcome Amy! Nice to see someone else in the area doing bees. This was my first year as well, went into winter with 4 hives, have not opened them yet, so I do not know if I have any survivors. So far no activity

I wouldn't write them off completely until it's warm and they are still "dead".
