In the early evening hours of Monday, January 27th , 32 colonies of honeybees were stolen from a location near Ehlers backwater on the river in the Palo Verde Valley - Blythe ,Ca. Just below what would be 30th avenue. These were palletized hives and were stolen with the thieves utilizing a skid- steer forklift towed behind a flatbed truck. The criminals had knowledge of beekeeping and were undoubtedly not from this valley. This is an open letter asking for anyone with any information to please come forward. Also , if any discarded beekeeping equipment ( boxes, frames, lids) is found to please let us know. The boxes were stencil painted with “Bradley Bees,Blythe,Ca, 760-922-2621” . As Beekeepers we rely on the general good of the public to not damage our equipment. When they are stolen by other beekeepers it is a slap in the face. Please contact Bradley Bees 760-922-2621 or Riverside County Sheriffs with any information.
I'd also like to further add for this board that a reward is available for information leading to the arrest of these individuals. For my Imperial Valley guys please keep an eye out on your end.
