    Question mann lake patties

Do any of you use the "Bee Builder" Patties from Mann Lake and if so what are your results ?

I want to get a bunch of them and I have never used them before.

    Thanks

I've used them with decent results. I Like the Ultra bee patties much better. Bees utilize them better IMO

My bees wouldn't eat the Ultra Bee patties, they love it as dry feed though

The global patties are much cheaper and they work well too. I use the 15% pollen ones and the bees always eat them quickly. The only problem is the shipping...

    So I shouldn't get them ??
I used global 15% last year , but I thought I would try something different this year. I have heard good things about the pro Health, I am only getting 800 lbs of them .

What else can beekeepers base their supplement choices on? I haven't seen any info that wasn't from those with money in the product, or those who've done no side by side trials. I don't doubt anyone's convictions, but they certainly are not impartial.

In comparison to what? No trials at all?

Glad to have Mann lake. I have been open feeding BEE PRO for the last week and they are packing it away.

KJ's argument is valid. Field tested on working bees with thousands of hives over multiple years, multiple operators is a valid test. Endorsed by the working beekeeper.

Any small trial, even a very well done test does not have the proof of repetition. Results will very because of storage and shipping of the products. Field forage available to the particular hives and even the time of year impacting the needs of the particular bees.

Perfect nutrition that is not consumed because fresh pollen is available, if tested a month earlier and is consumed because no pollen is available would show very different results. That product might or might not meet your needs.

I am looking forward to RO's results, but one test is just one test. Wish there were many more head to head field tests.

Well said SB, when you think about it, it's there money that there spending on there own bees, what better way to see if a product has value. I know of at least four large groups that were done. The nice thing is you get a chance to see how the bees react in different conditions, so if you over winter in Vermont, Texas, florida, Cali, or even the potato cellars in Idaho you get a good understanding of what going on with the bees.

What subs were compared. Feeding one type of sub in a big block of
Bee's does not show one sub is better than another.
