Jerry and I are getting in the truck Monday evening to make the 15+ hour drive to Davie, Florida to check on our bees. Our results since we hit Florida with our colonies have been mixed at best, and there is a thought that the location may be part of the problem given some of the feedback we have gotten from other local beekeepers.

In any case, we hope to move them this week into citrus a bit further north. And just for fun (with an eye on a fruitful outcome), I took a page out of Don K.'s book and made a concoction of what I hope will be swarm lure out of some dead queen carcasses I had from last season.
