Here are pics from another cut out this summer on a window sill. The window had been covered with a sheet of plywood for a long time. When the plywood came down in june there was a small hive the size of a soft ball. The home owner figured with the hive exposed the bees would leave. At the end of August they finally made it into their back yard again and noticed the hive. We brought the vac over and started vacuuming bees. You can see how big the comb was after most of the bees were off. We ended up filling two deeps with bees and comb. The bees are really good producers and have a good disposition and seem very mite resistant so we plan to make several spits with this hive and maybe requeen with some of the queens we make off this hive.
