Default New Hive Tool Design for Honey Hive Farms

    pic 029.jpg

I got a new hive tool from Tim Moore at Honey Hive Farms in Missouri. He had a vendors table at the CSBA winter meeting. I like the tool; it has a great feel. Can't wait to really put some miles on it this spring. Tim is a great guy, and I recommend doing business with him.

Default Honey Hive Farms, USA built hive tools.

We are now selling our new line of hive tools on our site. We have just sold our 100th tool and have several orders to fill.
Looking for feedback on our hive tools from people that have purchased them and as always looking for new ideas, etc on how to improve it.
Also always looking for a new tool, etc to manufacture here in the USA, so any ideas let us know.

Thank you for all the support we get and have had with all that we do.
    Tim

Looks a lot like a flat tool that I have seen around for the past 20 years, w/ a cpl of design modifications. I hope you don't run into any copyright problems.

What's the serrated edge for? How about the hook near the wide end? What was that designed to be used for?

Not to be too negative, but I wouldn't want to stick it in my back pocket like I do w/ my conventional hive tool and did w/ the one y'all copied.

Sorry if it seems like I am raining on your parade. They are colorful. Should be able to find them in the grass.

You take my comments and questions wrongly. You seemed to be offended by my serious questions, but not by the comments making fun of your tool. I don't know why you feel you need to insult me and call me uneducated. That says more about you than it does me.

I didn't know that the flat tool was made in China. I thought the one I bought, ages ago, years before you got into beekeeping I believe, came from England. I must have been wrong. I think I bought it from Dadant.

So what is the serrated edge for? And the hook near the blade end? You never answered. I'd like to learn.
