You obviously came into beesource to promote your business to the members here as potential customers and that's how you respond to questions? You don't need me as a customer so saying I will never buy anything from you isn't much of a threat, so I won't say that. Besides, I might find that you have something I want sometime and I don't like to close doors.

    Best wishes.

sqkcrk, you said I stole / copied the design did you not? It has been in our business/family for years and I went through all the right channels to be legit in every way.
I withdrew my comment, I don't need to deal with such drama. I hope to be better then that, but I have a lot of very hard work and pride in our products.
    I wish you well.

Sorry if it seems like I am raining on your parade. They are colorful. Should be able to find them in the grass.
Its all good, just don't understand why you would want to bring a negative comment to our hard work.
Yes I spend time on Bee Source to promote our farm/business as we think we have a lot to offer to others and care to see our customers and bees do well.

Nope, didn't say you stole it. Asked more questions still not answered.

I keep my hive tool in my back pocket when not using it. Seems like I would not be able to do that safely w/ your tool. What do people do when they need both hands?

If you wear a bee suit, maybe your one of the more advance guys. We wear bee suits for several reasons and one would be the pockets hold our hive tool. Pretty lucky as our pockets are pretty deep so it works out just fine. I do dislike that every time I take my bee suit off the hive tool falls out along with my pens/markers, etc. but a small price to pay for such a wonderful tool.
Maybe I will send you one so you can try it.

Answer other questions: The bottle opener looking part is to pull out staples and break wire that sometimes we come across when saving or buying others hives.
There is a nail puller, a wider head to help clean more in one stroke.
The saw looking end has a couple of benefits over the j hook, we have noticed that the j hook you have to almost be at a 90 degree angle to get it between the frames, and our design you can do it at a 45 degree angle. The 45 degree angle means to us, we can be faster and get more done with less motion. The top bar guys like it as it is pretty long and the saw end can cut comb from the sides.
A couple of my friends bought one and they take it to the bars and use it to open bottles, I would think they couldn't get in as it looks like a weapon, maybe they are just giving me a hard time.

I don't wear a full suit. My jeans pocket is where my hive tool goes.

Thanks for the explanation, Honey Hive.

Well, I put a few hours on the tool. I love it, it has "The Feel", and to all the J-hook tool fans out there, this is the one for you.

What I like on a hive tool is the 90 degree bent edge. That's where I use my hand to hit on the hive tool to help "break" the box. For what it's worth.....

Wanted to say thank you to everyone that has purchased our hive tools. Huge positive response from Beesource beekeepers. It just proves beekeepers have a great appreciation for great equipment and they want to by USA made tools.
    Thank you.

Another thing I like about it is the wide scraping edge, it can do 2 top bars at a time.

These hive tools are so great. I used this a couple 20 times and have nothing to say bad about this tool. It is so worth the $25.00, nothing else compares.
I know there are some cheap beekeepers out there, but if you cant treat yourself to a $25 hive tool that will outlast you and give you enjoyment and make your life easier.. REALLY??
    Thank you HHF
Hurry up with my packages,, cant wait.
