Question Has anyone seen Braula these days

I have been wondering if Braula has returned to those beekeepers who are treatment free. Prior to Varroa it was a common sight in hives without any ill effects. In my hives they were seen on almost every queen, in those days no one ever bothered to try to get rid of them, indeed some felt they were beneficial ( like the fish that swim along side sharks).

Looking at the distribution map, on this link, why were they not in Canada?

The only place in the United States that I ever heard of it existing was in Maryland and maybe Delaware. I believe that was ages ago. I haven't heard of it recently.
