Default Bees still bringing in Nectar and Pollen?

    Hello:
I'm still perplexed would anybody have an idea what could still be blooming here in Alberta. We've had at least a week of freezing nights and yet my hives are still bringing in nectar and pollen. I tried finding the source but haven't had any luck yet. The pollen is an off white color and both hives are collecting it. I was thinking if I could find what plant can survive these temps I would like to propagate more. Also it is 7C/45F and the ladies are still working, I think I've managed to catch some real survivors. Also I have not found any signs yet of Varroa, so maybe they are resistant.

Eureka! I found what the girls are foraging on. It turns out to be some volunteer canola. One of my neighbors was late doing summer fallowing and it allowed some volunteer canola a chance to flower. Lucky for the girls it has given them an extra 2 weeks. Unfortunately though my neighbor is out working those fields today.
