    Default Larva outside the hive

I just noticed about half a dozen bee larva (recently dead it seems) on the landing board of one of my hives. Nothing else unusual that I've noticed. The hive has been going strong all summer and I removed the top super about a week ago and harvested the honey. Any thoughts about why there are larva dead outside the hive?

Just found this threat from last year with the same question http://www.beesource.com/forums/show...d-outside-hive

That more or less answers my question, but if anyone has any other ideas I'd be happy to hear them.

Perhaps you have vsh (varroa sensitive hygiene) bees, and they are doing what they are bred to do?
