Okay. Did two sugar rolls on each of my two hives today. First and second rolls from hive one had 0 mites. 0. Hive two had 0 mites in the first and 2 in the second. And I used the standard one-half cup of bees (plus a few extra) and two tlbs. of powdered sugar. Now, in July, I would find 6..7..8 mites in the oil tray the day after working my hives. So I ask, does this seem right?
Re: Newbie mistake?
Sugar rolls are easy, but also a less reliable test. (in my opinon)
