Default what is this pollen from?

We have a strong goldenrod flow on here in Central Virginia, my understanding is that the bright orange is that. Tons of it flowing in. Lately i have seen more and more of the light yellow-tannish coming home as well. Also seeing a whitish-light grey. We have soybeans and sumac in bloom, just curious. Pics could be better but they are just so fast!! Thanks. G

Here is a guide that might help. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pollen_source

Unless you get a microscope and database of pollen we can only really guess.

I agree pollen sourcing is tough unless you are looking at the grains under a scope. I think we can make educated guesses though based on what is flowering and what the bees are working on. As far as the white pollen it could be Jewelweed. I have loads not too far from one of my yards and the bees are working it here and there. Here is a link where a poster talks about it.
