    I had one years ago...my first uncapped. Your photo brings back a lot of memories.


    You should adjust the slot where the frame sits.

    The top of the end bars are wider than the bottom. Place a frame in the holder and bend the bottom edges of the frame holder in so the frame remains centered, and can't wobble back and forth. If you don't, the chains will grab the comb, pulling it to one side and shaving one side of the comb too deeply.

    Looking at the pictures seems the machine is a older model which doesn't have the adjustable pillow blocks that allow you to set the cutting depth of the chains.
