Default Two nucs from 8 frame medium?

I was wondering if you can put a divider in an 8 frame medium box and use it for two nucs? I was thinking this would be an efficient way of doing this as I have all mediums. I've not raised a nuc before so this is new for me. Any advice on this is appreciated.

    I would
Just be sure your divider is tight
    No bee leaks
Also may want to make up lids
Or use a cloth type inner cover

I do it all the time. I build all my own supers and I only use mediums.
Every super I make I place a slot down the middle of the front and back.
That way I have the option to divide it or not. Each half needs its own top
to keep the bees from one side to get into the other side when you are
inspecting. I do have one cover overall.

One in the front and one in the back. Or one on each side, your choice.

Do you drill holes or just adjust the bottom in the back?

I drill 3/4 to 1 inch hole in the back. When I use the super just as a super I screen the hole and it becomes a vent hole.
If used for a divided nuc I remove the screen and make an entrance reducer for the front to keep the bees from entering the
wrong side. I like items to have multiple applications.

Like Tommyt said your divider must be effective keeping the two halves apart.

I use 1/8 inch masonite or luaan for the dividers and sectioned inner lids for each side.

I also make my own divided top feeders for them. When being used as a divided nuc each side can access only
their side of the feeder. When used as a full super they can access both sides of the feeder.
