    Default First real honey harvest

If thats what you want to call it

This is what I got from 5 deep frames, would this be about average? I am not planning on running deep supers, I was having a problem with them being honey bound before they started drawing out comb in the supers so I moved deep frames up and put empty frames in the brood chamber.

    These are gallon jugs.

I extracted 10 deep frames for a fellow last week, they produced 5 gallons of honey. but they were chock full. one and a half from brood frames is not bad. Hey its honey, none taste as good as your first extracted honey! Congrats.

It is what it is. Next year maybe more or less. Enjoy the trip, wherever it takes you.
