    Default being robbed by neighboring hive

    plz help with any info you can one of my hives is being robbed by another hive i havent checked to see if i still have a queen but i am certin that is whats going on ive seen fighting and the bees going from one hive to the next what can i do to save them ?

    If you have not already, I would put a entrance reducer on the hive being robbed. It will make defending easier for the guard bees, i wish you good luck.

    Pop the top off the hive that is robbing as well as closing the entrance down to less than an inch on the hive being robbed

    Yep, do what you can, and do it right now!

    I got lucky they had just started when we had four days of solid rain, no bees flew at all. But I still made the strong hive feel weaker, and closed the entrance right down as small as I could get away with on the weak hive. That was near two weeks ago now, and still all good, so you can break them of it.....

    The largest opening I use is 2" -2 1/2". I feel it is large enough to allow easy flow of bees but small enough to defend the hive.
