    Default Many swarms?

Just wondering how many swarms people are seeing. I have only gotten a few calls. Not sure it is the crazy weather or if there are just so many new beeks looking for swarms that they are getting spread around.

Only a few here in western IL about 90 miles N of St. Louis

Weather has been lots of rain, a few warm days.......but supposed to hit low 90's today and tomorrow, 80's rest of week

So I think there will be at least a half-dozen more by the weekend.

I'm getting a lot of calls about trap-outs and cut-outs, some good, some time-wasters; but only three swarm calls so far..Mothers Day, May 27, and June 4.

One trap-out in progress from a tree at a school, two cut-outs planned later in the week.

Going after dark this evening to retrieve a pair of 16" x 3 ft log sections where a logging crew cut a nest in half while sectioning a fallen tree, just smoke 'em and slide them in the Jeep, and work on them in the back yard later. Don't think they will amount to much if anything, but it's good experience.

Our swarm season was a month late.

Picked up 17 or 18, down from about 25 last year. Surprisingly, still seeing some very big primary swarms this late in the season:

I'm finished now for any more, except whoppers. Our main flow will be over in about a month and I don't want to have to feed a bunch this fall.
