Slatted Racks

Slatted racks that I built. Some have the slats running parallel to the frames and some perpendicular to the frames. The ones with the slats running crossways are easier to build. The one with the slats running parallel to the frames is Yellow Pine. The shelf is a thin piece of plywood fastened under the slats. The other one is Cypress.

Nice work. I hate to be negative, but my experience with them is that they give hive beetles lots of good places to hide.

But they are just about the perfect way to feed mountain camp sugar if you turn them upside down and put them on top - that way you can take your sugar on and off easily for inspections.
