Is it normal or ok for there to be 4 or 5 bars of really nice brood comb then a couple of bars of nectar, pollen, capped honey, then a few bars of comb with capped brood about the size of your palm, and a little drone then more honey? The KTBH has 32 bars. All but 8 are built out. They are still building comb.
Should I worry? Should I do somethign about getting all the brood comb in one place? Just wait and see if it works itself out?
Well if the bees have filled the comb surrounding the brood comb with nectar. Once the queen gets the brood come filled she will move to the available comb. Thus the brood, stores, brood pattern…
Sounds like you are having a good nectar flow. The bees will fill cells with nectar as brood emerges before the queen has a chance to lay in them. They will also reduce the nectar down as well as move it around to make room for the queen as they build out the nest.
If you want to do something you could give them one or two empty bars at the entrance end of the hive to build comb on.
